We are very happy to introduce our latest veil collab with artist Kit Agar.

We celebrate her constant experimentation with abstract lines and ethereal forms by portraying one of her tantalizing illustrations in a beautiful wedding veil.

We also made a fun scarf wearable as a veil or wrapped around. Available in black embroidery too!

On finding her voice
This is a hard question to answer, as sometimes I don’t feel like I’ve found it yet. I think it’s natural to question yourself though, and it’s an amazing opportunity for self-reflection. I think your ‘voice’ comes to you through experimentation & self expression, and you just kind of know when something feels right.
On collabs
It’s always exciting when someone believes in your work so much that they’re prepared to put their time and resources into working with you. Getting to see someone else’s vision for your work is also so fascinating, it really opens up the possibilities for your art. It’s incredibly energising to have another creative mind to bounce off of.
I think my first ever collaboration was with an independent French candle company called Samo Paris, I designed some patterns for the outside of their candle jars. Seeing my designs in the real world for the first time was so surreal. On current projects Right now I’m actually dabbling in jewellery making & silversmithing, I’m keeping it pretty under wraps for the moment but I’m hoping to launch a ring collection soon!
On staying creative
This is something I’m still working out the answer to. I do sometimes struggle to stay inspired, but I think it’s really important to accept that it’s part of the process, and to allow yourself to rest & recharge. Personally I find putting art on hold for a couple of days, and allowing myself to focus on anything else really helps me. It allows me to come back with fresh eyes & an energised mind.
On big challenges
Imposter syndrome & self-doubt, for sure. Even now, about once a month I’ll have a day where I think I’m not cut out for this. I’ll look at all the other amazing artists out there and think there’s no way I can compare to them. However, there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing than making art, so I don’t really have a choice but to press on regardless. I think questioning yourself can be important to the creative process though, it drives me to improve & evolve my work. Without it I’d worry my art would become stagnant.
A piece of advice
Not everything you do will be a masterpiece, and that’s okay.
Kit was raised in Brighton, UK and graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2017. She’s currently based in Brussels and her work has been exhibited throughout galleries in London as well as in multiple projects around the world.
