Every Ofrenda veil is made to be worn with ease, but the way it secures will vary depending on the style, shape, and desired look. Below is a guide to help you understand each attachment option.
Comb With Gathering

Best for: classic veils with volume at the crown.
This option includes a metal comb sewn directly into the veil with soft gathering at the top. The gathering creates natural volume and helps the veil sit securely in the hair.
To wear:
Slide the comb gently into the hairstyle at the crown or back of the head, depending on where you want the veil to fall. For extra hold, your hairstylist can anchor the comb with bobby pins.
This is the most traditional attachment option and works beautifully with updos, half-up styles, and softly styled loose hair.
Comb Without Gathering, Mantilla Style

Best for: lace veils, mantillas, and styles meant to lie flat.
This option includes a comb sewn into the veil without gathering, allowing the fabric or lace to fall smoothly over the head. It creates a flatter, more romantic mantilla-inspired look.
To wear:
Place the veil gently over the head, then slide the comb into the hair where you want the veil to sit. The veil should lie softly against the head without added volume at the top.
This option is ideal for styles where the lace edge or embroidery is meant to frame the face or fall naturally around the body.
Satin Ties for a Juliet Cap Look

Best for: veils worn close to the head, with a soft vintage-inspired shape.
Some veils can be finished with ties instead of a comb to create a Juliet cap effect. The ties allow the veil to wrap softly around the head and secure at the nape or underneath the hair.
To wear:
Place the veil over the head and position it where you want the cap shape to begin. Tie the ribbons gently at the nape of the neck or underneath the hair. Your hairstylist can add discreet pins for extra security.
This option creates a more sculptural, romantic look and works especially well with lace-trimmed veils or soft tulle styles.
Comb Shipped Separately

Best for: brides who want flexibility with placement or styling.
For some veils, the comb can be shipped separately instead of sewn in. This allows you or your hairstylist to decide the exact placement during your hair trial or wedding day styling.
How to use:
Your stylist can sew the comb into the veil once the final placement is chosen, or secure the veil temporarily with pins depending on the style and hair design.
This option is especially helpful if you are unsure where you want the veil to sit, or if the veil will be worn in a more custom way.
Plain Blusher Add-On

Best for: adding a simple face-covering layer while keeping the veil clean and minimal.
A plain blusher is made from the same continuous piece of fabric as the veil. It is not a separate layer, but an extension of the veil itself that folds softly over the face during the ceremony and can be lifted back afterward.
To wear:
The blusher should fall gently over the face without pulling or tension. After the ceremony, it can be lifted back over the head, creating a soft layered effect while remaining part of the same veil.
This option is ideal for brides who want a traditional blusher moment with a clean, understated finish.
Embellished Blusher Add-On

Best for: adding a more detailed ceremony moment while keeping the design fully integrated.
An embellished blusher is also made from the same continuous piece of fabric as the veil. The embellishment follows the design of the veil, creating a seamless extension rather than a separate add-on.
To wear:
Place the blusher carefully so the embellishment falls as intended when worn over the face. After the ceremony, it can be lifted back over the head, allowing the decorated section to become part of the overall veil design.
This option is ideal for brides who want the blusher to feel intentional, cohesive, and fully connected to the veil’s original design.
General tips
We recommend bringing your veil to your hair trial so your stylist can test placement, height, and security before the wedding day.
Most veils can be secured with a combination of combs and discreet bobby pins.
For heavier or embellished veils, extra pins may be needed to support the weight comfortably.
Always handle the veil gently when inserting or removing combs, especially if the piece includes lace, embroidery, pearls, or delicate tulle.
